This position is located in the Lotus Notes Administration Services Team (LNAST), Corporate Core Services Unit (CCSU), Information Technology Service (ITS), Division for Management (DM), United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV)/United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna, Austria. Responsibilities
|
|
|
|
Within assigned authority the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
• Perform routine installation, configuration, deployment and regular monitoring of the Lotus Domino servers including the management of these servers at the Operating system level;
• Perform regular administration, operation, technical support and monitoring of Lotus Domino Servers including routine troubleshooting, escalating issues to higher level including contacting and submitting problem reports to the vendor;
• Collect statistics on the performance and reliability of the Domino servers and Lotus Notes client performance and general issues;
• Perform research into new versions, beta testing, patch upgrades of both Lotus Domino and Lotus Notes;
• Assist and perform as second level support to requests from user offices and helpdesk;
• Perform other related duties as required.

Education
|
|
|
|
High school diploma or equivalent. Supplementary courses/technical certificates in information technology are a distinct asset.
|
|
|
|
Work Experience
|
|
|
|
Seven years of experience in information technology or related area. In-depth knowledge and experience of technologies used in Lotus Notes/Domino.
|
|
|
|
Languages
|
|
|
|
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. For the post advertised fluency in English, i.e. oral and written proficiency, is required. Knowledge of the local language, German is desirable. Working knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.

|
|
